Using sport to promote peaceful coexistence

F4P International Training Camp 2016 – Applications Open!

F4P Training CampFootball 4 Peace are opening up the annual International Training Camp to individuals and organisations working in sport coaching, physical education and youth work and wish to develop co-existence programmes. The Training Camp will take place between 17 and 21 September at the University of Brighton Eastbourne and Falmer campuses. Please find the F4P ICE Application Form and return it no later than 20 August to sasmprojects@brighton.ac.uk. The form is used also for health and safety, risk assessment and child protection.

The five day camp will train individuals in the unique methodology of teaching values and life skills through sport. Theory and practical sessions with case studies are combined during the intensive camp. Participants will test their skills working with school children on the final day. Delivery will be in English. Our hope is that trained individuals will be able to adapt and apply the methodology and associated rugby or football curriculums. Then be able to produce their own curriculums to their work – be it in schools, clubs, or community/youth groups.

The price is £237 per person with a commitment to raise a minimum £100 for the charity. This includes tuition / training fee, certification upon completion, some sport kit, lunch each day, and some hospitality.

Accomodation (bed, breakfast and dinner) is available for £125 for four nights.

There is a discount of £50 for students and those applying from recognised partner organisations of the University of Brighton and Football 4 Peace International.

For further information please email sasmprojects@brighton.ac.uk.
