The Gambia Photo Competition 2017

In recent weeks students at the University of Brighton have been running a Gambia Photo Competition aiding in raising awareness and promoting F4P  within the university.  We can now reveal the four winners.

Carol Webb – Playtime

There were some wonderful entries this year, ranging from snapshots of the F4P activity sessions with local coaches and local children to snaps of participants having cheeky monkey encounters and herds of cows chillaxing on the beach!  All were competing for the chance to win one of four £25 Brighton Student Union Gift Vouchers kindly donated by the Union.

With such a wide variety of photos to choose from, all uniquely highlighting and portraying the once in a lifetime opportunity of joining the F4P Gambia team.

Ashleigh Evans – Interaction

There was the choice of three categories to submit their images to – ‘Interaction’, ‘Landscape’ and ‘Playtime’.  the fourth category was chosen by a panel of judges made up of staff from the School of Sport and Service Management where F4P is based. Voting was busy with over 300+ voters  successfully exposed to F4P.

Chloe Costello – Landscape

They say a picture speaks a thousand words and with each category shortlisted to 10-12 images.  The judges chose the last picture from all three categories as it displayed the brightness, togetherness, fun and exhaustion of the F4P project all in one.

Jess Fazakerley – Judges Choice!

We would like to give a huge congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to everyone involved in the running of this event.  Keep an eye out for next years edition!
