Chelsea Children’s Camp is one of the oldest community projects at the University of Brighton, working with disadvantaged children to offer a chance to spend some quality time with their peers, positive role models and university staff and have fun through different exercises and activities.

Tavindy interview our partners Geri and Maurice from Sandele Foundation in The Gambia
Travindy, a blog about responsible tourism, have interviewed our partners at the Sandele Eco Retreat in The Gambia. Geri and Maurice, who set up the Sandele Foundation in order to support local environmental and economic development by facilitating locally owned environmentally friendly solutions, talked about their work, peer to peer (P2P) training for the locals, cooperation with the University of Brighton as well as Football 4 Peace.

F4P Training Camp in Korea
The second F4P Korea Training Camp at Seoul National University Korea, took place between 22 and 25 July in partnership with Korean Sharing Movement (KSM).
F4P International Training Camp 2016 – Applications Open!
Football 4 Peace are opening up the annual International Training Camp to individuals and organisations working in sport coaching, physical education and youth work and wish to develop co-existence programmes. The Training Camp will take place between 17 and 21 September at the University of Brighton Eastbourne and Falmer campuses. Please find the F4P ICE Application Form and return it no later than 20 August to sasmprojects@brighton.ac.uk. The form is used also for health and safety, risk assessment and child protection.
F4P International Training Camp in Northern Ireland
F4P has a long history of working in Ireland and Northern Ireland, where peace education is of vast importance due to the sectarian conflict between Irish and Northern Irish communities. In April 2016, F4P worked together with The Peace Link to deliver values-based and life skills coaching methodology to students, NGO and sport governing bodies representatives.
International Day of Sport for Development and Peace
F4P International celebrated the third consecutive International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) together with their international partners to celebrate the power of sport and raise awareness about the role of sport in building better society.F4P partners in Korea and Gambia have been raising the ‘white card’ as a call for peace. The initiative is a part of IDSDP global campaign run by the UN Office on Sport for Development and Peace.

2016 Easter Challenge Camp 4th to 8th April
The University of Brighton will host the Easter Challenge Camp between the 4th and 8th April 2016, with participation of primary school students from Brighton and Eastbourne.
Professor to speak at discrimination in sport symposium
John Nauright, Professor of Sport & Leisure Management at the University of Management, will be a key speaker at the Adopting a Zero Tolerance Approach on Discrimination in Sport: Ensuring Equality Promoting Inclusion for All symposium.
The event takes place on Tuesday 9 February 2016 in central London.
